BASKETBALL
When it gets too cold outside for the outdoor sports, basketball kicks in. The season runs December to March and is played in gyms around the greater DC area on weeknight evenings. Interested?
FLAG FOOTBALL
After you have had enough of the heat and humidity, and yearn to pull out the long
sleeved shirts, CAN flag Football is upon us. The season takes place September through
December. Over the season, teams match up on the field as well as at the pre-season happy
hour and season-ending two weekend tournament on the Washington Mall. CAN Flag Football!

SOCCER
One of the world's oldest sports is CAN's newest league. Teaming with District Sports, games are
played on a well groomed field in Anacostia Park. The season runs through spring and in to the early part of summer.
If you are looking for an excuse to get out kick a ball around, come join the Tribe's co-ed alumni
soccer team.
SOFTBALL
Ask anyone! This is a coed favorite amongst CAN members. More than a thousand alumni gather
each spring and summer to play against alumni teams from all over the country about 200 yards
south of the White House on the Ellipse. When you dust off your glove for CAN Softball, you
know spring has arrived. Unlike other 'sports leagues,' there is no charge to play in CAN. Each
year features a pre-season happy hour, fourteen game season, playoff tournament and even an
all-star game. The August tournament is a culimination of 1200-1300 scholared athletes
enjoying a two-day event unlike any other.
VOLLEYBALL
If basketball isn't enough to keep you occupied during the long winter, play volleyball too! Teams are comprised of 3 men and 3 women on the court at a time. Come on out and spike one with the team!
